A drug driver has been banned from the roads after driving over 70mph on a dual carriageway.
Mark Fearon, 37, was caught driving a BMW over the 70mph speed limit on the A595 Distington bypass on February 28.
A blood test showed he had not less than 10mcg of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (a cannabis metabolite) per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.
Fearon had then failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis on May 27 in Workington.
The defendant, of Shakespeare Avenue, Egremont, pleaded guilty to speeding, driving a vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Magistrates sitting in Workington banned Fearon from driving for 12 months for the drug driving offence and a 30-month ban was imposed for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
He was given a community order with 10 rehabilitation activity days and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
Fearon must also pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
