A POPULAR Cumbrian beer festival will return next month , after a two year forced hiatus caused by coronavirus.

Keswick Beer Festival, will be back next weekend, celebrating over two full days to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Keswick Beer Festival is run as a collaboration between Keswick Rugby Club and Keswick Lions and each organisation with over 250 volunteers who give up their time over the weekend to help ensure all guests have an amazing time and the event runs smoothly.

The festival will have 6 amazing bands playing over the weekend.

Friday sees the return of the Moobs and on Saturday, The Kasios, with the festival welcoming new bands; Groovetrain, Mojo Rising, John Bowen and Steel Foxes to get everyone singing, tapping feet and dancing.

There will also be over 200 beers and ciders and of course the ‘bottle bar’, there is a huge array to choose from to suit everyone’s tastes. 

A spokesman for the festival, said: "After a very difficult two years for everyone, which saw the Festival postponed twice, we are excited to say, we are ‘good to go’. 

"All preparations are well underway to welcome thousands of guests to this year’s festival which has fallen on the Platinum Jubilee weekend and is set to be the biggest and best beer festival we have ever held.

"We are very much looking forward to seeing old friends, and making new friends at the ‘Party on the Pitch’ at the glorious Davidson Park ground and if you haven’t been before, why don’t you give it a try, you won’t be disappointed."

The committee wished to thank their main sponsors and this year we would like to thank David Britton Estates, Pioneer, Kong Adventure and Keswick Brewery & Fox Tap for their very much needed and appreciated support- aswell as barrell sponsors.

Saturday tickets are ‘SOLD OUT’, however Friday and weekend tickets are still available via the website.

The festival will be trialling card payment machines this year to purchase beer vouchers,but festival goers are still advised to bring cash.
