WITH the UK currently led by a man without principles, we appear to be engulfed in a mire of sleaze and falling standards in public life.

Hypocrisy is at an all time high, with the likes of Prince Harry declaring that holiday-makers should be penalised if they use too many hotel towels or leave taps running.

This from a man who lives in a 16-bathroom £11million mansion in California.

We are already ruled by a swathe of ‘do as I say not as I do’ politicians – we do not need a recalcitrant Royal jumping on that bandwagon.

This week we have the revelation that Joe Biden’s sister has invited Meghan Markle to join the Democratic party, saying she would make a good presidential candidate.

Tom Bower, who is working on an unauthorised biography of the Duchess, says: “Meghan running for president is possible and I’d even say likely. I really believe it’s where she sees herself going”.

Just picture it – King Charles III ruling the, hopefully, still United Kingdom with President Markle the leader of the free world, supported by her First Gentleman – Prince Harry.

Just about anything is possible these days – remember Donald Trump.
