A fire crew paid a visit to an engineering company to find out more information about equipment.

Crew members from Whitehaven Fire Station visited the site of Forth Engineering in Cleator Moor to find out about the equipment manufactured for Sellafield Nuclear Site yesterday (May 9).

Writing on their Facebook page, a spokesperson from the fire station said: "This equipment could be utilised by Cumbria Fire service if needed.

"The remote controlled purpose built JCB has multiple tool attachments.

"Thank you to Forth, for accommodating the visit and also offering some training opportunities."
