In no particular order, 10 places in Cumbria that provide delicious Sunday roasts include:

The Fox and Pheasant – The Armathwaite inn offers a wide range of meals on a Sunday, from leg of lamb to beer battered haddock. Appetisers are also on offer including the tasty halloumi fries.

The Eatery – If you feel the need for a lazy Sunday, the Workington restaurant offers takeaway collection and delivery for you to enjoy your roast dinner from the comfort of your own home.

The Highland Drove – A number of readers enjoy visiting the Great Salkeld pub for their Sunday dinner. The great food can be enjoyed alongside some breath-taking views of the Pennines.

The Cross Keys Inn – The pub, found on Penrith’s Carleton Village, has received praise from customers for selling delicious food and offering a friendly service.

The Lifeboat Inn – Found on Maryport’s Senhouse Street, customers have the opportunity to have beef, turkey or pork dinners, and if they’re feeling a bit too peckish, they can have a mixture of meats.

White Heather Hotel - Guests of the Kirkbride establishment feel they are offered value for money with its scrumptious meals and believe it is in a perfect location.

Lingla Café – Guests of the Frizington café have the opportunity to have one, two or three course dinners, with rhubarb crumble and chocolate fudge cake just two delicious puddings to end your meal.

The Crown and Thistle – Available each week, online reviews of the Rockcliffe pub are filled with customers who claim they will visit again after having a pleasant meal.
