AFTER a three-year hiatus, Cockfrock, Cockermouth’s fashion event, is back.

The event features a two-day sale of pre-loved ladies' fashion and is hosted at the town’s Kirkgate Centre on May 14 and 15.

Sellers receive 70 per cent of their sales and the remaining helps support the Kirkgate Centre.

Kirkgate Centre General Manager Emma Heys said: “We’re delighted to play host once again to Cockfrock.

"It has become a big part of the town’s events calendar and many people look forward to it.

“This year’s event also represents an opportunity to emphasise the environmental message. Fashion production makes up 10 per cent of humanity's carbon emissions, dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams."

Doors open at 7pm on Saturday and tickets are £5 each, including a glass of fizz. On Sunday, the event runs from 10am until 1pm.

Tickets are available from the box office on 01900 826448 or online at Cockfrock Spring 22 - Kirkgate Arts and Heritage.
