A LENGTHY driving ban has been handed to a Carlisle woman who has admitted a drink driving offence.
Magdalena Gaska, 26, committed the offence on January 23 while driving a BMW on Carleton Road in Carlisle, the city’s Rickergate court heard.
At the time, she was almost twice the drink drive limit.
The defendant, of Blackwell Road, Currock, was fined £140, with £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
Magistrates imposed a 22 month ban, though this will be reduced by 22 weeks if Gaska completes a rehabilitation course before an agreed deadline.
