CUMBRIA Police have seized an e-scooter this week after it was being used dangerously.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Copeland Proactive Team have seized an e-scooter this evening after observing two young females riding on it down Ennerdale Road, Cleator Moor in an irresponsible manner.

"This not only caused a danger to themselves but also to other road users.

"We would like to remind people that privately owned e-scooters can only be used on private land with permission of the land owner.

"A privately owned e-scooter cannot be used on a public road or public place unless it meets the requirements."
