Train delays can be expected for a major route.
Trains between Carlisle and Lancaster may be delayed due to an ongoing fault on the line.
According to Network Rail, there is a fault with their signals, which means trains, such as the Avanti West Coast services to London Euston and the TransPennine Express services to Manchester Airport, may be delayed.
Network Rail apologised for any inconvenience caused to rail users.
