LIVERPUDLIAN comedian Frankie Allen brought his no-holds-barred material to Carlisle’s Harraby Community Theatre on Friday, putting the crowd in fits of laughter throughout the evening.

Selling out the venue, it was the comic’s son, Will Cranny, who kicked off proceedings by providing a run down of the night’s events.

Will, who also works as his father’s manager, provided some immediate laughs by having some cheeky digs at those who entered the hall during his piece.

The comedian was supported by Middlesbrough-based James Kilvington.

The Teeside funnyman spoke during his routine about an incident that happened the last time he performed in the city, when a Carlisle resident didn’t appreciate some of the remarks that the comic made about him.

Much like Frankie, Kilvington’s set mainly involves taking the mickey out of audience members.

One attendee on the front row got the shock of his life upon returning to the hall after getting drinks for his friends.

The comedian asked one friend what he does for a job and after discovering he was a joiner, Kilvington joked that he wanted money back after the victim did a bad job in his new house.

The support’s material about his young daughter and dealing with soft play area bullies also garnered loud laughs from the crowd.

After a short interval, the man deemed ‘Britain’s most feared comedian’ made his way to the stage.

With more than 20 million views online, Allen has shot to online superstardom over the pandemic following a number of viral videos of his shows on social media.

Allen was relentless with his act, targeting everyone in the room, from audience members to security guards and theatre staff.

The rowdy crowd were keen to generate some back and forth with the comic, who happily obliged by shutting down hecklers with abuse that is definitely not for the faint-of-heart.

Insisting that he meant no offence and only wanted to share the same sort of laughs our fathers and grandfathers shared, the comedian stayed on stage afterwards for a meet-and-greet with everyone in attendance, all of whom seemed to enjoy a great night out.
