Annan Athletic's mouthwatering Scottish Cup clash with Rangers is officially a sell-out.

The Scottish League Two club have confirmed that all tickets for the fifth round tie on Saturday have been snapped up.

Fans have been quick to get their hands on tickets for the much-anticipated visit of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side to 2,500-capacity Galabank.

It promises to be one of the biggest cup occasions in recent memory for Annan, who are managed by former Carlisle United favourite Peter Murphy.

It could see Gers stars like deadline-day signing Aaron Ramsey taking on Murphy's side, along with Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and James Tavernier.

The tie is being televised live on Premier Sports TV with a 5.30pm kick-off.

Annan, who sit third in Scottish League Two, aimed to tempt fans to back the team by offering anyone who bought a half-season ticket the opportunity to buy a ticket for the Rangers game.

Van Bronckhorst's side, the current Scottish champions, sit second in the Premiership, a point behind Celtic. They beat Hearts 5-0 on Saturday having previously gone down 3-0 against their Old Firm rivals at Parkhead.

Promotion-chasing Annan on Saturday saw an 11-game unbeaten run ended with a 2-0 home defeat to Stenhousemuir.

The club said they had had a huge response to the Rangers tie, and offered tickets to season-ticket holders, shareholders and fans who travelled to Clydebank in the previous cup round the first opportunities to get their hands on tickets, followed by those who attended the Stirling Albion and Stenhousemuir league games.
