SHAKESPEARE ‘with a twist’ is coming to the Carlisle Green Arts Club, and promises to show the comedic side of the Bard.
‘Doing Shakespeare’ is taking place on February 19, with the show starting at 7.30pm.
The show is written by David Spicer and starring Steven Arnold, who appeared in Coronation Street as Ashley Peacock for over 15 years, and follows a critically-acclaimed London run.
Six actors performing six different plays will do Shakespeare as Shakespeare has never been done before. This hilariously mad Shakespearean mash-up will have you rolling in the aisles and the Bard turning in his grave.
The Northern Comedy Theatre have won 6 OnComms and a special OneOff award from OffWestEnd along with the Scenesaver Birthday Honours Award for best ensemble.
Doing Shakespeare has also been nominated for an Off West End award for Best Costume Design.
