A PENRITH man has been sentenced by magistrates after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Stuart Foster, 31, was caught on January 8 as he drove a Vauxhall car in Penrith on Cromwell Road, Carlisle's Rickergate Magistrates Court heard.
At the time, he had 49mcg of alcohol in 100mls of breath.
The legal limit for driving is 35mcg.
After hearing the details, magistrates imposed a 12-month ban along with an £80 fine, costs of £85 and a £34 victim surcharge. The defendant, of Chestnut Close, Penrith, was offered the drink driver rehabilitation course.
