I KNOW we have to cut our carbon emissions, but is it wise to put all our eggs into one basket?

Solution electricity? Storm Arwen, and others before, have shown that once it fails it causes misery for thousands. Some have only managed to some degree by using fossil fuels for backup.

Until the power cables are put underground, it will happen every time there is a severe storm.

Many power stations switched from coal to gas, resulting in increased charges for us all. They are also encouraging everyone to get smart meters, so that we use less electricity, which now begs the question – when everyone goes electric, will there be enough capacity?

We really need to find realistic alternatives, before ditching everything.
