Snowfall causing reduced visibility on the A66 between Brough and Bowes

Snowfall is currently affecting traffic on a number of roads, including the A66 and A686. 

A66

Snow has resulted in reduced visability on the A66 between Brough and Bowes.

Traffic is slow in places. 

A686

The A686 on the Hartside Pass is barely passable due to snow.

Newlands Pass

Newlands Pass both ways remains closed due to ice from Coledale Hotel (Braithwaite) to St James Church (Buttermere).

Carlisle 

In Carlisle there are temporary traffic lights in place on the B5299 around New Road due to roadworks.

Wigton 

There are also temporary traffic lights in place at Wigton on the B5302 West Road near Innovia due to gas main work.
