This week a popular Carlisle band supported a well known 80s pop group at The Sands Centre.

Hardwicke Circus finished off their nationwide tour on Tuesday supporting Squeeze to an adoring audience of fans.

This is a major gig for the band as they were not only supporting a well respected group, but also one that they liked and admired.

Dave Robinson, the band's manager, said: "It went great, the show was good, there was a good crowd and I'm pleased with how the band performed. The set went really well, Squeeze even got in touch with us to say that the set was amazing and give their thanks for Hardwicke Circus' support so that was really pleasing.

"This was a really big moment for us as we were supporting a band that we liked anyway. So to be able to support them in front of a crowd was an amazing thing. The family members of the band came down to watch the show and really enjoyed it."

Dave explained that they have big plans for the new year as they are hoping to release a new album and are also planning to tour again.

There next gig will be a homecoming concert at The Brickyard on December 17th, ending what has been a brilliant year for them.
