A CARLISLE restaurant has been nominated for a prestigious award.
The Viceroy, on Shaddongate, has been shortlisted for the Best Restaurant North West Award at the British Curry Awards.
The restaurant was established in 1991, making it one of the longest running Bangladeshi Restaurants in the city.
It has won several awards, including making the top 30 in the national category of the British Curry Awards and finishing as runner up in the regional category.
The Awards are recognised globally as the original and most respected award ceremony in the UK curry industry.
They were dubbed as 'the curry Oscars' by former Prime Minister David Cameron.
The ceremony will take place on Monday, November 29 at Battersea Evolution in London.
