A club has met once again after 20 months.

Diane Davidson, from the Evergreen Club in Brampton, said: "There was a very happy atmosphere when 39 members met again after 20 months in The Methodist Church Hall last Friday for the AGM.

"Harry Simpson chairmen welcomed everyone back introducing 13 new members by name and pausing for a minutes silence to remember past members Brenda Harrison, Edith Kartach, Betty Makepeace, Mary McGlasson, and Olive Wren, who have sadly died since we last met.

"In his report, the chairman thanked all the committee for their work and commitment to the smooth running of the club.

"He also mentioned Sheila Dunn a valued member who turned 100 in August her birthday was celebrated at The Coffee Cabin where the committee joined her for afternoon tea.

"Carol as treasurer reported that the £500 given by the Laurel House Fund in October 20 was distributed among the 54 members with a £10 Colin Moore voucher in a Christmas card, also saying the clubs finances were pretty good.

"On the conclusion of the meeting, tea and biscuits were served followed by the raffle lucky winners Margaret Bell, Maureen Robson, Carole Wright, Sylvia Price, Eileen Blair, Harry Simpson and Anne Harding.

"The next meeting on November 26 is the annual dinner at Brampton Golf Club, 12:30pm for 1pm.

"Coach leaving the Conservative Club at noon for The Sands at 12:10pm."
