AN EDEN Valley motorist has been told he must do 240 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months after he admitted three offences.

Liam David Chambers, 21, of Eden Meadows, Temple Sowerby, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty at Carlisle's Rickergate court to the following: driving a Ford Fiesta on the B6241 at Temple Sowerby on July 29 while banned; and on the dame day, driving without being properly insured.

Magistrates imposed a 30 month driving ban and ruled that the defendant - banned earlier for drug driving - must pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £95.
