Music lovers in Carlisle have the opportunity to take in a unique experience next week.

Cellist Hannah Roberts and pianist Simon Parkin will perform live for at Netherby Hall on Friday 22 October, with guests able to enjoy a delicious dinner during the performance.

Husband and wife, they have gained great critical and public acclaim. Both artists have distinguished themselves individually and in combination in competitions and festivals such as the Pierre Fournier Award, the Jacqueline Du Pre Memorial award, Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition and the Manchester International Cello Festival.

The couple have performed regularly for BBC radio and were winners of the International Morely College Centenary Concerto Prize with a concerto written by Simon for Hannah.

They have an extensive repertoire ranging from the core standard works to arrangements made by Simon of favourites by, amongst others, Gershwin, Irving Berlin, The Beatles and Nat King Cole. Hannah has worked with Sheku Kanneh-Mason, who performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The dinner costs £35, which includes a two-course meal plus wine (the pre-booked menu will be emailed prior to the concert).

The evening’s performance commences at 6:30pm. Tickets are still available on the Netherby Hall website.
