PLANS have been submitted to Carlisle City Council for a roof over a cattle feeding area on a working farmyard.
Anthony Gardhouse of Cumdivock House has requested planning permission from the council to build a roof over a cattle feeding area on the farm.
In the design and access statement, he said: "The proposed roof will be in keeping with other buildings on the steading and therefore will blend into its surroundings. Therefore, it is not proposed to add any further screening to the existing farmyard."
They added that materials used in the construction of the building will match the other existing farm buildings.
The new structure will not lead to any changes to the public highway.
"The proposal will allow the current successful business to maintain its current levels of production and move forward sustainably in the future."
All planning applications submitted for the area can be viewed and comment on via the council's planning portal.
