A local community centre will be doing their bit to help you and your family get ready for Halloween.

Botcherby Community Centre in Carlisle will be hosting an event in partnership with local supermarkets and Period Poverty North.

The Halloween Harvest offers you the chance to pick up a children's Halloween costume completely free.

A spokesperson from Botherby Community Centre said: "We're excited to announce a new event, in collaboration with Tesco, Period Poverty North Cumbria and Morrisons Carlisle.

"Come and browse to pick up your free children's Halloween costumes that have kindly been donated by Tesco."

The event will run from 2pm until 4pm and everyone is welcome to attend.

They are promising lots of great activities for the children to get involved with and some important information will be on hand.

Period Poverty UK will also be on hand to offer advice and free sanitary products.

Guests have a chance to visit the community centre's pop up pantry.

They can also have a chat with the Morrison's Community Champion and take part in a Morrison's colouring competition.

This is a drop in event so bookings aren't necessary.

Donations are welcomed and more information can be found by contacting 01228 596992.
