ACCESS to Carlisle city centre from Market Street remains closed this morning.
This follows an incident at Carlyle’s Court last night.
Police said the public was likely to see an increased police presence as inquiries were carried out.
A spokesman said: 'Please avoid this area to help officers and staff who are attending. Thank you for your assistance.'
There are no further details and no information about when the road is likely to reopen.
