Carlisle United will give fans the chance to grill Chris Beech, David Holdsworth and Nigel Clibbens ahead of the new season.

The trio will answer questions at a fans' forum two days before the new campaign.

The event is being held online rather than directly in front of fans in the Sunset Suite.

United say that, although many Covid restrictions have been eased, they are still "cautious about protecting" their football staff.

Supporters are asked to submit questions in advance to head coach Beech, director of football Holdsworth and chief executive Clibbens.

United say the three will not see any questions in advance of the Thursday, August 5 event, which starts at 6pm and will be streamed on YouTube.

Questions will be asked by supporters' liaison officer Simon Clarkson and thecumbrians.net moderators Dan MacLennan and Matt Spooner.

United's media officer Andy Hall said they decided to run the forum online after "the success of the recent director forum, which ran in this manner."

He added: "Although restrictions now mean we could have fans inside the Sunset Suite with us there is still a cautious approach to protecting our football staff as much as we possibly can.

"For that reason we've chosen to reduce the risk and hold the forum online only."

Questions should be submitted to hello@cusg.co.uk before 5pm on Monday, August 2.
