Here are this week’s Oak Tree Animals’ Charity pets of the week.

LEO and LOLA

Leo & Lola are one year old siblings and are looking for a new home together. This adorable pair have lived with children before but as they were slightly nervous of the younger child we are looking for an adult only/older children home. Leo and Lola have never lived with other animals before so we are looking for a pet free home.

Leo & Lola have always been indoor cats but we feel they may enjoy outdoor access so we are looking for a rural/semi-rural area as they don’t have any road sense.

SOL

Meet handsome Sol…

Sol is a Trailhound and not surprisingly enjoys sniffing a lot of the time! Sol is around 4 years old and came to us having successfully run in Trails for a number of years. An understanding of the breed would be very beneficial.

This lovely lad is looking for an active/sporty home and will need a decent sized and secure garden where he can play, learn and relax. Ideally his new family will be interested in trying out scent work, mantrailing and possibly canicross type activities where Sol can use his highly tuned sense of smell and run on lead! Sol will need his mind and his legs kept occupied.

Sol walks well on harness and lead, but can pull when there’s a scent he’s particularly interested in. He will need some ongoing basic training and his new family must be committed to this using positive reinforcement methods. As Sol has lived all of his life in outdoor kennels he will need support to master his housetraining too.

He would like at least one member of his new family to be home most of the time, or able to take him with them as he doesn’t really enjoy being by himself all that much. This could be improved over time but his new family will need to be committed to helping him with this in a positive and rewarding way.

Sol may be able to live with another dog but this would depend on meetings here at Oak Tree. He could live with older children providing they are dog savvy!

If you meet all of Sol’s rehoming needs and would like to know more information please email smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk. In your email tell us about your household, and how Sol would fit with you!
