Air ambulance teams from across the region teamed up to assist in a rescue of a stricken individual this week.
The Great North Air Ambulance team stated: "Great teamwork yesterday, working alongside North West Air Ambulance Charity, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team and a coastguard helicopter."
"Our Cumbrian team were activated at 11.19am to reports of a fall near Wast Water. They assessed and treated the patients, who were then winched by the coastguard helicopter and flown to hospital."
