Parts of Cumbria will see heights of 25 degrees Celsius today just as the Government lifts all legal Coronavirus restrictions on "Freedom Day."

Cumbria has enjoyed a spell of heat wave conditions since the weekend and the hot weather is set to continue until tonight.

In Penrith, the temperature will remain above 20 degrees until 10pm according to The Met Office, reaching a height of 25 degrees from 3pm until around 5pm.

In Carlisle, temperatures are currently around 22 degrees and likely to climb 24 from 3pm until 6pm.

Workington will see temperatures up to 21 degrees, dropping below 20 for the first time at 10pm.

Whitehaven is currently seeing its hottest temperature of the day at 22 degrees which is set to remain until 5pm falling to 19 degrees by 9pm.

Barrow-in-Furness is seeing temperatures as high as 23 degrees this afternoon dropping to 22 at 7pm.

Barrow's temperatures could still be as high as 19 degrees by 11pm. Millom could reach heights of 24 degrees later this afternoon.

Popular seaside destination Silloth is seeing temperatures of 22 and 21 degrees with the sunny conditions sticking around all week and throughout the weekend.
