SILLOTH motorcycle racer Jim Smaith is out of action and his museum closed until at least July 20.
Mr Smaith is having a shoulder replacement and will be in hospital and recovering from July 12 to 20 at least.
The popular Silloth Motorcycle Museum displays presenting bikes ridden and owned by Jim Snaith, a successful motorcycle production and Grand Prix racer.
The collection includes bikes he has raced at the Isle of Man TTs and Dayton.
Mr Smaith is hands on in the museum and able to talk about each of th bikes and displays by what has been described as his
" encyclopaedic, first – hand knowledge" which he loves sharing with others to produce a memorable visitor experience.
