CLOSED
An urgent road closure has been put in place to allow repairs to be carried out.
Church Street in Whitehaven is closed from its junction with Roper Street.
The works, which started on Monday, were expected to take two days, and will be complete no later than Friday.
An alternative route is in place via Roper Street, Market Place, Strand Street, Lowther Street and the unrestricted section of Church Street.
