Cumbria police are appealing for help after an assault.
Officers were called to Front Street in Brampton just before 1.30 am on Saturday June 6.
A spokesman for the police said: "The incident involved a man, a woman and a teenage male, in his mid-teens.
"No serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
"A 37-year-old man from Brampton was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has since been released on police bail.
"Officers are keen to speak to the man who stopped to offer assistance to the woman, but left before officers had attended. It was reported that he was driving a white van."
