A Keswick guest house is due to be transformed into a home after the plans gained council approval.
In an application to Lake District National Park Authority, the owners of the property at 35 Oakthwaite House, Helvellyn Street outlined their wish for the site to become their main residence.
Oakthwaite, a three-storey terrace, is currently a four-bedroom guest house but the planning statement issued on behalf of owners Mr and Mrs Davidson confirmed their intention for a change of use.
The property had been marketed for over 12 months and the applicant stated that they believed the change would not, therefore, have a “detrimental impact on the range of visitor accommodation types” in the wider region.
