NORTH Cumbria’s NHS Trust has marked the six-month anniversary of the first Covid-19 vaccines being delivered.
This week, the vaccine rollout programme has reached those aged over 25 but North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust revealed that Tuesday marked six months since the first vulnerable patients got the jab.
A spokesman for the Trust said: “Yesterday marked six months since we delivered our first vaccine at the West Cumberland Hospital.
“We were chosen as one of the first sites to deliver the vaccine, and since then NCIC have delivered thousands more.”
As of Monday, a total of 345,000 Cumbrians had received at least one jab, while 240,000 had received both doses.
It is hoped that in the coming weeks, all over-50s will have had both vaccines.
