CARLISLE Band Hardwicke Circus have announced that they will be releasing their new album "The Borderland" next month.

The collective will release this, their debut album "The Borderland" on July 9 after their debut single was released back in may of this year.

The album is set to reflect what its like to grow up in a place like Carlisle that always feels like the in-between- from a town you only end up in by accident.

Talking about the release of the Album lead singer Jonny Foster expressed the way the band were feeling about the early awaited release of their first ever album.

He said: "It's a very exciting time for the band, we've worked so hard touring the UK for the last couple of years, playing every venue under the sun, working on our sound, working on a collection of songs that we really believe in whilst we build our fan base."

"We love nothing more than coming home and playing a big home town show in Carlisle- which is ultimately what the album is about, it's about coming from the in-between, it's about being from this place that seems to be forgotten on the map, also it's very fitting that when it's released on the 9th of July it's being released in Carlisle at St. Cuthbert's Church."

The band have gained notoriety in recent years performing with the likes of Bob Dylan and Neil Young in recent years.

To date they have completed 700 gigs all over the UK , with another 165 lined up before the pandemic.

When Covid put a halt to their plans the band retreated to a farmhouse in The Yorkshire Dales , where they ended up writing and recording their debut album.

As well as the album release Hardwicke Circus will also be embarking on another UK tour in July of this year- arranging a string of dates in Carlisle.

The new album will be available to purchase through the band's own label Alternative Facts Records from July 9, for more information www.hardwickecircus.tv
