The Prime Minister has said he would love to come to Cumbria to meet an alpaca who shares his name.
In today's Prime Minsiter's Questions, Workington MP Mark Jenkinson asked Boris Johnson if he would holiday in his constituency.
It follows Mr Jenkinson's visit to The Fitz Country House in Cockermouth, where he met Boris the Alpaca, on Monday.
Speaking in the Commons Chamber, Mr Jenkinson said: "Cumbria sees significant numbers of tourists in any normal year, but Cumbria is not just lakes.
"We've got some real gems in my constituency of Workington, outside the national park.
"We've got a real opportunity for the UK this year as people to choose to holiday here."
Mr Jenkinson asked the Prime Minister if he would holiday in his constituency and said he would introduce him to Boris the alpaca.
Mr Johnson replied: "I would love to come and meet the alpaca called Boris.
"More importantly, we want to support tourism in his constituency, which is why we have provided £25billion support, including £1.5million on projects such as The Carnegie Theatre Trust.
"Since this week is English Tourism Week, I encourage everyone to make the most of tourism on their doorstep."
