FARMING Minister Victoria Prentis has urged farmers to submit their claim to the Countryside Productivity Small Grant (CPSG) scheme before it closes at midnight on May 31.
The scheme was designed to help farmers invest in specific items of equipment to boost their farm or horticultural business’ productivity and efficiency.Applicants had until November 4, 2020, to request grants for eligible items listed in the CPSG manual, with grants 40 per cent of the standard costs, for a minimum grant of £3,000 and a maximum of £12,000.
She said: “Technology has a huge impact on the day-to-day productivity of our farms. The first two rounds of the CPSG scheme have provided over £30 million for the purchase of equipment which has helped improve efficiency on 4,800 farms across England."
