HIGHGATE Veterinary Clinic, part of the My Family Vet group, is one of three finalists for Petplan’s Practice if the Year award 2021.

Each year Petplan insurance runs the UK Veterinary awards which is now in its 22nd year.

Often referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the veterinary industry, this prestigious event celebrates excellence within the veterinary profession and recognises those who inspire their clients and colleagues with their hard work and dedication.

This year, there was a total of over 31,000 nominations across the five categories.

“The practice and some of the vets have received nominations before, but this is the first time we have been one of the three finalists for Practice of the Year” said Liz Dodd the Clinical Director. “As you can imagine we are really pleased and super excited.”

The nomination is for Highgate Vets @ Beezon Road, which was the brain child of previous owner Nick Gray and opened in 2015 as a branch surgery of Highgate Veterinary Clinic.

“The Beezon Road branch was designed to our own specification. It’s a bright, light and spacious place for clients and staff. The layout was created with the needs of our varying patients in mind, enabling us to have dedicated cat areas including separate waiting space, consulting room and cattery. We have a Cat Friendly accreditation, alongside RCVS Practice Standards recognition. Dogs have their own larger consulting room, where plenty of treats and hugs are found!” Ms Dodd said.
