A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Cumbria Police are appealing for information following the incidents which led to the 29-year-old Carlisle man's arrest.
At a property in the Fusehill Street area of Carlisle on Sunday (May 2), a 40-year-old man was taken to Cumberland Infirmary after being assaulted.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition.
The incident was reported to police at 6.23pm, and it is believed the assault took place just before this time.
Officers are now appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, been in the area at the time of the assault, or who had CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at that time to come forward.
