RESURFACING work is set to be carried out on a Lake District pass.
Cumbria County Council are carrying out surface dressing works on the B5292 Whinlatter Pass this week.
The work will start on Tuesday and are anticipated to take one day.
While access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclsits will be maintained, the work will be carried out under a road closure.
A spokesman for the council said: "If you have any specific requirements, please liaise with our contractors whilst they are on site.
"If there are any problems or enquiries, please contact the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 and specify you are calling regarding B5292 Whinlatter Pass surface dressing works.
"Your co-operation at this time is appreciated and we apologise for any disruption caused."
