Denmark has stopped giving the Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccine because of concerns about rare cases of blood clots.
This is the first European country to take this drastic action, despite the fact that it will delay its vaccination rollout by several weeks.
Experts in both the UK and Europe have accepted there is a link between the vaccination and clots but have agreed the risk of dying from Covid-19. So far the clots have affected only four per million people.
Several European countries had previously briefly suspended the jab.
Most have now resumed vaccinations with AstraZeneca, but often with limits to older age groups.
