A MAN has been jailed after he admitted assaulting two police officers and a special constable.
Peter Liam Johnson (29) of Lowther Street, Carlisle, appeared at the city's magistrates court on April 1.
He admitted three charges of assaulting an emergency worker by beating.
The charges related to an incident in Carlisle on February 28.
He also spat at the officers, which added to the severity of the offences and resulted in a 12 week prison sentence to run consecutively for assaulting the police officers, and a two week concurrent sentence for assaulting the special constable.
