House prices have risen sharply in the past ten years and the North-West is the region with the highest growth in price by the year, according to a recent ONS report.
The average house price for the North-West has risen from £129,892 to £184,234 in ten years.
The report stated that the average UK house price is £17,000 higher than last year.
A leading property expert recently said that house prices in North Cumbria were rising ‘sharply’, largely because buyers are being driven to invest in ‘safe havens’.
