Restrictions are starting to ease, meaning that people will soon be able to travel abroad.

There's been debate about whether or not people feel safe to travel or will be taking a holiday in the UK this year.

We asked our readers whether they will be going abroad or booking a staycation instead.

Here's what you had to say.

Aleasha Wallace said: "I travel usually about three to four times a year and was gutted last year to have been grounded for the first time in 17 years. Never left the country. Usually I'd have visited two to three new places I'd never been. So I am raring to go when it is safe and when travel corridors open. I'm planning August and December. As far away from the UK as possible."

Sonia Cruddas commented: "I’m staying home not chancing it, just hope English weather that we had last year keeps us all at home, and safe."

Laura Tweeddale added: "Case packed and raring to go, holiday in the sun beckons."

John Welsh continued: "Scotland all being well."

Paul Hal Irving warned: "Why not keep the chance of importing more Covid variations alive. Should wait until after next winter before opening up the travel corridors."

Julie Baillie said: "I’m staying in the UK for my holidays until the guidance is clear and the rest of Europe get to the same level of vaccination in the population as we do."

Cath Buchanan New joked: "I will go when its safe to do so and I don't have to wear a mask. I mean, can you imagine the tan lines."

Craig Robinson added: "165 sleeps until we go to Egypt, glad we booked when we did because the prices have gone through the roof."

Davidlinda Storey said: "We are booked for may transferred from last year will certainly go if we can."
