A YOUNG Carlisle woman has been banned from her local Post Office after she admitted an assault.
Magistrates sitting at the city's Rickergate court fined Hannah Louise Dixon, 26, of Stonegarth, Morton, Carlisle, £40 for assaulting another woman.
She committed the offence on January 22, the court heard.
The defendant must also pay £85 costs.
To protect the victim, magistrates also imposed a restraining which bans Dixon from the Post Office and shop at Newlaithes Avenue, Morton.
According to court papers, the order was "necessary and proportionate for the protection of the victim", who is said to be nervous about returning to work.
The restraining order will remain in force until August 26 this year.
Magistrates said that the defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when the decided the sentence.
