MAGISTRATES have jailed a man who flouted his Criminal Behaviour Order by secretly having two unregistered mobile phones.
Carlisle's Rickergate court heard that Robert Palin, 33, committed the offence in the city on January 19. Having unregistered phones was in breach of a court order imposed on the defendant in February, 2018.
After hearing the details, magistrates jailed the defendant, formerly of Lowther Street, for a month. They expressed "great concern" about the risk considering Palin's previous offending. The Samsung S10 and a black Actamel phone would be forfeited, the court ruled. He previously denied the offence.
