Heavy rain is disrupting rail services in Cumbria.
Expected heavy rain bringing adverse weather conditions in Scotland means the West Coast Main Line will be closed between Carlisle and Scotland until midday today (February 24).
As a result there will be no rain to and from Motherwell, Glasgow and Edinburgh and changes to services between Preston and Carlisle.
Avanti West Coast will be operating an amended timetable between Preston and Carlisle with an hourly service.
Journeys between these stations may be subject to further alterations as a result of the heavy rain forecast in Lancashire and Cumbria.
