More than a hundred homes in the Keswick area started the day with out power.
Electricity north west have confirmed that 123 customers had no electricity this morning after an unexpected incident with a high voltage cable.
A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: “We received reports of a power cut in Keswick at 6.13am caused by a fault on the underground network affecting 123 properties.
“We responded immediately and at 9.45am, we were able to restore power to 117 properties. Engineers remain on site and working hard to restore power to the remaining six properties as quickly and as safely as possible.
