A TWENTY-two-year-old Workington man has been given 80 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for 26 months.
That was the sentence for Nicholas John Degraff, of Oxford Street, who admitted driving in James Street, Workington, on January 17 while over the limit, with 105mcg of alcohol in 100mls of breath.
The limit is 35mcg.
He also admitted possessing cocaine and driving a BMW with no valid insurance on the same occasion. He must also pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
Magistrates offered the defendant a drink driver rehabilitation course, which will reduce is ban if completed.
