A PENRITH businesswoman has helped write a book to help those on healthcare's frontline.

Sue Jackson, of Whitespace Coaching, is one of authors and editors who have contributed to a new book called Empowerment in Health and Wellness.
The book has been published by Panoma Press and written for healthcare professionals, and people whose lives have been disrupted by health and other circumstances, who are suffering from anxiety and pressure.
It was launched with a webinar last week and is already popular.
Sue said: “The idea for the book was first raised early in 2020, before the pandemic hit.
“A group of six of us were working together as volunteer coaches for the Fountain Centre, a UK charity, and felt inspired to write a book to share what we’d learned and what we’d seen making a difference to individuals in our coaching.
"We have strong connections to other healthcare professionals, particularly those working in biomedical health, coaching and training in the UK and Italy, and invited them to join us.
"We developed the approach, found a publisher and got started on the writing and editing.
"I don’t think any of us realised quite how topical and useful our book would be as pressures on healthcare professionals, and their personal health and wellness, increased so much during 2020 and into 2021.”
"We’re all hoping that the book will reach its target readers, healthcare professionals, complementary therapists, people involved in cancer care and long term health conditions, coaching and other fields.”
