CUMBRIAN residents are being warned about scammers claiming to be from the NHS asking for bank details in exchange for a coronavirus vaccine.
Cumbria Trading Standards issued a warning for people to be on their guard after multiple reports.
A Trading Standards spokesman said: "Please continue to be cautious if you receive an email purporting to be from the NHS claiming you have been selected to receive a coronavirus vaccine.
"The email contains a link to a website which then asks for your bank/card details. THIS IS A SCAM!
"You will never be asked for a payment by the NHS, the vaccine is free!
"Forward suspicious emails to report@phishing.gov.uk."
You can also report any attempt to steal your money or personal information to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040, or report it online.
