Highways England are currently reviewing the facilities for cyclists along the A590 corridor between Witherslack and Barrow.
The existing provision is made up of a combination of on-carriageway cycle routes, both on the A590 and on the adjacent local authority road network, and dedicated, off-carriageway facilities.
To support this work, Highways England are now seeking comments on the existing cycling provision, and are welcoming suggestions as to how this could be improved. They are keen to understand which routes are well-used and well-liked, and where people think improvements need to be made.
If you have any comments or suggestions for improvements, you can get in touch by January 29, either sending an e-mail to Highways England at: info@highwaysengland.co.uk.
